How to Use
Benefits: Pine aromatherapy essential oil can promote healthy and radiant skin and hair. Pine is also a wonderful oil to use in an inhalation.
Regulatory Status: Pine essential oil is not listed on the FDA Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) list.
How to Store Your Oil: Keep your essential oils stored in a cool dark place. All citrus oils, pine, and juniper should be stored in the fridge to prevent oxidation. If an oil spoils from heat and oxidizes, it can cause skin irritation.
Oils That Blend Well With Pine: Pine is balsamic, sweet, fresh, faintly woody, almost spicy, reminiscent of cypress and juniper, with an interesting undertone and great, lasting quality. Pine blends well with:
- cedarwood Cedrus atlantica
- citronella Cymbopogon nardus
- lavender Lavandula angustifolia
- lemon Citrus limonum
- marjoram Origanum majorana
- rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis
- sage Salvia officinalis
Eucalyptus Eucalyptus globulus: 30 drops
Lavender Lavandula angustifolia: 15 drops
Pine Pinus sylvestris: 12 drops
Marjoram Origanum majorana: 6 drops
Thyme Thymus vulgaris: 3 drops
Add 6-drops to a bowl of boiling water and inhale for 5-10 minutes.
