Patchouli Essential Oil Organic
Patchouli: Pogostemon cablin (Benth.)
Why patchouli? A favorite fragrance of the hippie generation of the ’60s, the aroma of patchouli is powerful and unmistakable. The initial aroma is sweet, followed by an earthy note, which makes a rich, complex addition to room sprays, potpourri, and personal fragrances. Patchouli covers up musty smells around the house (it’s great in trash cans and laundry bins!). It has also been used as a flavoring agent and blends well with anise and clove as a breath sweetener.
Quality Assured: Our certified organic patchouli essential oil is responsibly sourced from Indonesia. The essential oil is steam distilled from dried, young leaves without stems. Every batch of oil is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and produced without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Additionally, our expert aromatherapists here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally assess all of our oils—using touch, taste, smell, and lab analyses—to ensure that your essential oil is suitable for use and entirely free of adulterants.
