Peppermint: Mentha x piperita (L.) var. Black Mitcham
Why peppermint? Peppermint is a very versatile essential oil. It can have a relaxing, cooling effect in aromatherapy blends, or an uplifting effect, depending on what your body needs. (Hint, hint! It’s a great study aid for students of all levels or for anyone who works long hours, especially in front of the computer!) Peppermint also has cleansing properties, which makes it an adaptable oil to use around the house, in natural soaps, floor and counter cleansers, and DIY skin care products such as shaving cream and shower gel.
Quality Assured: Our certified organic peppermint essential oil is responsibly sourced from the USA. The essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves, flowers, and stems. Every batch of oil is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and produced without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Additionally, our expert aromatherapists here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally assess all of our oils—using touch, taste, smell, and lab analyses—to ensure that your essential oil is suitable for use and entirely free of adulterants.
Independent third-party lab reports including GC/MS and pesticide testing results are available upon request. Please send a request to apothecary@achs.edu and include the essential oil Latin name and lot number; results include a comparative analysis with ISO and the Pharmacopeia when available.
