The Story

Dandelion Leaf: Taraxacum officinale (F.H.Wigg.)

Why Dandelion Leaf? A staple of any holistic toolkit, dandelions have been used for centuries to promote wellness. The name dandelion is a derivation of the Old French, dent-de-lion, literally “lion’s tooth” because of the sharply lobed leaves of the plant. Its high potassium content (higher than any other plant in herbalism known to date) helps support healthy urination and elimination.

Quality Assured: Our certified organic dandelion leaf is sustainably sourced from the Croatia. This herb is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and grown without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Our experts here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally evaluate every herb through taste, touch, and smell to assure that you are receiving the best botanicals suitable for clinical use.

Experience

Formula:

INFUSION OF DANDELION LEAF:

Dandelion leaf Taraxacum officinale: 1 ounce

Filtered water: 1 pint

Place your herbs into a ceramic or glass teapot. Bring the water to a boil. Do not use an aluminum pot. An electric kettle or kettle on the stove is fine. Turn off the heat and pour the water over the herb. Cover the pot and let steep for 10 to 20 minutes. Strain the tea in a non-aluminum strainer and then drink. Sweeten with organic honey for flavor. Store for no more than 24 hours in the refrigerator.
