Love Your Locks: Supporting Healthy Hair with 4 Essential Oils

Love Your Locks: Supporting Healthy Hair with 4 Essential Oils

Are you looking for a natural way to support strong and healthy hair this summer? Fortifying your strands in the warmer season can help prepare them for the harsh, dry conditions of winter. Start priming your hair now with these 4 essential oil beauty kit staples:

Each of these oils has been used individually for centuries to maintain healthy hair. But when combined and mixed with a carrier oil (such as Argan or Jojoba), they work together for optimal support. Atlas cedarwood and rosemary both have a fresh, woodsy aroma, while thyme is known for its intense herbal notes and lavender for its distinctive and pleasant herbaceous-floral scent.

DIY Tonics For Hair Support

Length & Shine Hair Tonic

Ingredients:

  • 20 drops of Lavender Lavandula officinalis oil
  • 20 drops of Rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis oil
  • 10 drops of Basil Ocimum basilicum oil
  • 2 drops of Atlas cedarwood Cedrus atlantica oil
  • 2 drops of Thyme Thymus vulgaris oil

Directions:

Mix the oils together in a one-half-ounce amber or opaque bottle. Use it as a concentrate or blend the mixture into one ounce of grapeseed oil with the addition of one teaspoon of jojoba oil.
