The Story

Milk thistle: Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn. 

Why milk thistle? Also referred to as simply “thistle,” this coastal herb is rich in potassium, calcium, iron, vitamin A, and vitamin C. With its sharp and vinegary flavor, milk thistle makes a healthy garnish on salads. Milk thistle leaves can support a normal, healthy liver.

Formula: 

ULTIMATE SUPPORT FOR HEALTHY LIVER FUNCTION:

Dandelion Taraxacum officinale root: 1 ounce

Milk thistle Silybum marianum
 leaves: 1 ounce

Juniper Juniperus communis berries: ½ ounce

Purified water
: 1 ½ pint

Pinch of cayenne Capsicum annuum

Simmer dandelion root in water for 20 minutes in a stainless steel saucepan. Strain over the juniper berries and milk thistle. Steep for 15 minutes, and then strain again. Cool and add a pinch of cayenne. Use 1 tablespoon, three times a day.
