Quality Assured: Our certified organic gotu kola is responsibly sourced from Sri Lanka. This herb is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and grown without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Our experts here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally evaluate every herb through taste, touch, and smell to assure that you are receiving the best botanicals suitable for clinical use.

How to Use

Wellness Support: Gotu kola may help support a healthy response to symptoms of sniffling and coughing during colder seasons, cool an overly active digestive system, and be used topically to aid the skin in its healing functions.

Cautions and Contraindications:

Gotu kola is generally well tolerated when taken orally for 6-12 months. However, irritation and nausea have been reported when given orally in controlled trials, and there are several reports of allergic contact dermatitis after topical application.

Contraindicated for use with diabetes; gotu kola can elevate blood glucose levels. Avoid use during pregnancy due to potential abortifacient properties.
