Lemon Aromatherapy Essential Oil 5 ml

$4.33USD

Citrus limonum

Producing organ: outer rind.

Origin: Italy.

Crop: Organic EcoCert GC.

Production method: expressed. For higher quality oil, lemons are gathered while they are still green and produced by expressing the oil from the outer rind. Oil is produced from the smaller fruits that would be difficult to sell. Distilled oil or oil that has come from the inner part of the peel is considered an inferior product. Distilled oil of lemon is less expensive than oil prepared by expression. Expressed oil that has been grown organically is preferred for therapeutic purposes.

Main therapeutic constituents: limonene, geranial, pinene. If lemon oil is labeled “USP“ or “BP“ it means the active constituents or chemical properties are correct as specified by the United States Pharmacopoeia or the British Pharmacopoeia

Wellness Support: Lemon aromatherapy essential oil helps to maintain a healthy digestive system along with symptoms associated with over acid and sluggish digestion. Lemon oil is a wonderful natural remedy for oily skin as it is an astringent. It also supports a healthy respiratory system.*

Perfumery: Lemon aromatherapy essential oil is widely used in the soap industry and has a lasting quality. Lemon aromatherapy essential oil has a light, fresh, and sweet aroma.

Oils That Blend Well With Lemon: Lemon oil’s refreshing aroma blends well with other citrus oils, and with cedarwood, chamomile, clove, geranium, elemi, eucalyptus, fennel, juniper, lavandin, lavender, neroli, oakmoss, petitgrain, pine, sandalwood and ylang ylang. When blended with citronella and lemongrass, it is used as a substitute for verbena.

Cautions and Contraindications: It may cause skin irritation and sensitivity. It may make the skin more sensitive to the sun causing sunburn more easily. Use in moderation and conduct a skin patch test.
